For Original Fibres Fabric Fanatic series, the London based fashion brand met Oliver Bayliss – rare book dealer and long-standing Original Fibres customer - at his soon to open Parsons Green studio. They took the chance to ask him some questions about sourcing some of the rarest books in the world and curating some of the most prolific modern libraries in London.

'Bayliss Rare Books is offering a fine leaf from the Gutenberg Bible, the first Western book printed with moveable type. The leaf in question is the end of Chapter 45 through to the beginning of Chapter 48 of Isaiah (45:6-48:6).'

The last time a complete copy of a Gutenberg Bible sold publicly was in 1978. The $2.2 million paid at the time was the highest price ever for any book.

Bayliss Rare Books, a rare book dealer based in the United Kingdom, has placed a leaf from the book for sale, priced at around $150,000.

Its 15th century production by Johannes Gutenberg, pioneer of the mass printing press, marked not only one of the most significant moments in the history of technology, but also forever changed communication and the mass dissemination of information.

More than 25 previously lost and unseen photos of the Rolling Stones by one of their photographers and his assistants are to go on display in London.

The show, titled “The Rolling Stones - Elegantly Wasted,” will feature photos of the Stones “taken at their decadent peak,” according to a statement from Bayliss Rare Books and Spanish Tony Media.

The exhibition will run from February 28 to March 5 at J/M Gallery in London, and limited edition prints, taken by Spanish Tony Sanchez, will be available to buy through Bayliss Rare Books.
