Wuthering Heights in FT HTSI

Over the past five years, Bayliss Rare Books has been fortunate to see a number of items included in the press.

One publication had, until now, remained elusive. The Financial Times and in particular How To Spend It, edited by one of Oliver Bayliss’s journalistic heroes, Jo Ellison.

Until now!

A copy of the first US edition of Wuthering Heights from the Bayliss Rare Books collection has been included in the Financial Times HTSI, in a feature exploring the novel’s enduring relevance and appeal.

It is always gratifying to see a book of this importance placed within a wider cultural context, and to see Wuthering Heights continuing to resonate nearly two centuries after publication.

You can read the feature here.
